Great Loop Mast Shipping Form

Albert Logistics, Inc. is the go-to transportation company for boaters navigating the Great Loop. We have been moving boats and other marine equipment for boat manufacturers, private individuals, and the US Government for over 12 years. We are boaters as well so we understand the intricacies of moving boats and other marine equipment. We are fully insured and registered with the USDOT.

We pool masts at the marinas listed in the form so that we can provide the most economical shipping costs for everyone. Rates are based on where the mast is being picked up as well as overall length. Select the marina for pick up from the drop down tab then select the proper rate based on your masts length. The rates are for masts 58' in total shipping length and less. The boom ships free.

Rates for masts longer than 58' quoted on a case-by-case basis. You will still benefit from the pooled rate, however longer masts may require permits / pilot cars / as well as special bracing.

All masts are delivered to Turner Marine in Mobile, AL.

Instructions / Notes:

  • Mast length measurements must be accurate and include the extra length (if applicable) of the roller furling extrusion and drum - this is the shipping length. Accurate mast measurements are critical for our load planning. Incorrect lengths may result in extra charges up to 50% of the total freight charge. Example: If your mast is deck stepped and has a mast head rigged roller furler look at the length from pin to pin for your forestay and then the length of your mast. Please enter the longer of the two lengths. If your mast is keel stepped please provide an accurate measurement accounting for the section below deck and floorboards.

  • If you have a ketch rig please select Yes in the appropriate section. The main mast is charged at the rate for the marina where we are picking up. The mizzen mast with boom are charged at 50% of the rate for the main mast as long as they are 40' in total shipping length or less. Please list the total shipping length for the mizzen mast in the notes section.

  • If your mast is carbon fiber or wood, please select this option in the form. Carbon fiber and wood masts are shipped with a 50% surcharge in addition to the standard freight rate due to the additional steps necessary to transport carbon fiber and wood masts.

  • In order to provide the lowest rate possible we group masts in certain marinas and ship the masts when we have a full truck. Please select the marina where your mast will be de-rigged. You are responsible for coordinating your mast de-rigging with the marina you choose.

  • If you would like to ship your mast from a marina not listed below please fill out the form, pick any marina from the list, and in the notes section put what marina, city, and state you would like us to quote from.

  • All masts are delivered to Turner Marine in Mobile, AL. Please contact Turner Marine directly to coordinate re-rigging. If you wish to have your mast delivered to another location in the US Southeast please note that in the notes section of the form and we will provide you with a quote.

  • Please note that our shipping agreement gives a range of dates for mast pick up between September 30, 2019 and November 15, 2019. Masts will be delivered on or before November 19th, 2019. We make every attempt to make our shipments mid-October, sometimes delays occur that pushes delivery to early November.

  • Once we have received your form, we will generate a shipping agreement that must be signed and emailed back to us.
